Letter From Tiffany MeliaThank You HMS Host Flag Sponsorship!

Chairman Golf Fore Gompers

Words cannot express how thankful I am to each participant, sponsor, volunteer, etc. for being part of such a successful event, raising money in support of the Assistive Technology program. The culmination of such a successful event would not have been possible without the support of every participant and every sponsor who has been involved over the years. I am also pleased to report that we gained a few additional supporters and golfing participants!

There is and always will be a special place in my heart for the individuals at Gompers. It is truly an honor to be able to be part of an organization that assists individuals with their challenges, ensuring they succeed in daily life. Every time I walk into the Gompers Campus, I am always greeted with a smile and a heartwarming happiness that exudes from their clients. It is so uplifting to have been introduced to the many individuals who are so proud of their personal progress, all due to the assistance that Gompers has been able to offer them. If you have never had an opportunity to visit Gompers, please clear a morning or afternoon in your schedule so you can see where all your generous donations are going.

Again, Thank You Sponsors and Participants for getting involved and truly making a difference in so many lives. Rest assured your donations are hard at work and producing results and smiles every day!

The Legacy

Gompers and Pioneer Distributing

For Phoenix, 1947 was a banner year. Gompers opened their doors to assist Arizonans’ with disabilities and the Voyles family opened their Pioneer Distributing doors to sell lubricants. Vera and Leo Voyles were among the earliest Contributors to Gompers. Through the decades Vera and Leo passed down the importance of volunteerism to their children, Craig, Sally and Kelly. Sally and Kelly continued the legacy started by their parents by ensuring yearly support from Pioneer Distributing. Much like their parents involved their children in the family commitment to Gompers, Sally and Kelly did as well. The past decade, Gompers has continued to grow their outreach within the Phoenix community and Pioneer Distributing, with Sally at the helm, has successfully increased the company’s involvement by raising donations through the annual Golf FORE Gompers Tournament.

The past four years, like her mom and grandparents did before her, Tiffany Melia, Pioneer Distributing Vice President, represents the fourth generation to continue the family legacy of volunteerism. Tiffany has chaired the Tournament the past four years. Each year the event keeps growing with golfers and sponsors. It just isn’t the golf that is enticing, but the after party. Each year after the golfers come in from the course, they are treated to a lunch, complete with Raffle prizes, silent auction and are able to spend time with Gompers clients.

Gompers is truly a habilitation center, dedicated to assisting their disabled and challenged clients to improve the quality of their daily lives. Pioneer Distributing is honored to be a Community Partner with Gompers and looks forward to many years of making a difference in Arizona!
